NITHYAKALYANI HOLDS 6TH CONSECUTIVE BLOOD DONATION DRIVE (JUNE 2019)
As part of its annual CSR activities, Nithyakalyani conducted a Blood Donation Campaign for the 6th year running. The campaign was possible due to the support from all the blood donors who came forward for this noble cause, the Blood Bank of Sri Lanka, Rotary Colombo East and the Tamil Literary Association of the University of Moratuwa.
PONGAL CELEBRATION IN MANKULAM (JANUARY 2019)
Recognizing the need of the hour and maintaining cultural values, Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery recently launched yet another CSR project by donating dry rations and essentials to flood affected people in Mankulam area to celebrate Thai Pongal. Accordingly, aluminum pots and dry rations including rice, jaggery, coconut and green gram were distributed to nearly 600 families under the project carried out in collaboration with the Women's Welfare Association of Mankulam. The project saw tremendous success that enabled the villagers who were distressed due to the floods that hit their region to happily celebrate their cultural event - Thai Pongal.
BOOK DISTRIBUTION AT PANAGODA CAMP (JANUARY 2019)
Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery donated school books and instruments for over 100 children of officers based at the Panagoda Army camp recently. Major General Sudaththa Ranasinghe of Engineering Services Regiment (Sri Lanka Army), P Sivakumar (Partner, Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery) and J Sasikumaran (Factory Manager, Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery) were among the large gathering of guests at the event organized in collaboration with Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Army.

Nithyakalyani conducted yet another successful Blood Donation Campaign this year, for the 5th year running and would like to thank the Blood Bank of Sri Lanka for their continued assistance in holding this campaign. Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery, a pioneer in the gem and jewellery trade in Sri Lanka, celebrated its 40th Anniversary through a series of social service events. As part of those events they held a beach clean-up campaign along Marine Drive from Wellawatta to Dehiwala. The staff of Wellawatta Nithyakalyani Jewellery, Wellawatta Police, Wellawatta Coast Guard Unit and the general public participated in the event. The event was successfully conducted with the community in the area being very pleased with their efforts.
